I went to see Mrs. Martin (I know shes not our teacher anymore, but Arlene just doesn't fit in my head, so im sticking to what i've always called her :) ) the other day, and she told me you were pretty much the only other person that visited her in the last few years. Thats why I remembered you after all this time!! In case you were wondering, shes doing great. I dont know how much of this is new news to you, but here's what i gleaned: she has a baby, married a kung-fu master (!), and she looks totally healthy! I was so happy to see her doing well.
How are you doing out in Arabia?? I can't believe you're studying all the way out there! Are you fluent yet? I hear you have the chance to drink the best coffee in the world from my arabian friends at Waterloo University, where I go to find out what cracks first on high-speed impact, my skull or all the equations. I'm hoping to be able to state the answer without stuttering by the time im done there. If I can't, we'll know it was my skull by a long shot!
I know you probably have nowhere near the amount of time you'd need to do everything you miss doing back here in Toronto when you come back for a visit. But the next time you're back, if you're free for a few hours, I'd love to catch up! Maybe the three of us can go out for a few drinks (make that four of us, minus the drinks, if Mrs. Martin brings her toddler :) ).
